Bonnie J. (Walker) Ridenour, 68, of Lower Burrell, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Born March 20, 1952 in Tarentum, she was a daughter of the late Delmar Eugene Walker & Alberta Jane (Smith) Walker. Bonnie was a 1971 graduate of Kiski Area High School, and attended the Western School of Health & Business in Monroeville. She was employed as a medical assistant at Penn Plum Family Medicine for several years, last working in 2013. Bonnie was a life member of the Washington Township Fire Department, and member of Union Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed creating crafts that she gave as gifts to family and friends. Bonnie liked shopping, and had the chance to travel all over the United States. She most loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Jane Walker. Bonnie is survived by her children, Heather (Josh) Rings of Bethel Township, David (Kris) Ridenour of Oklahoma Borough; grandchildren, Ryan & Evan Ridenour, Derek & Carli Rings; brother, Terry (Ardeth) Walker of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many cousins and extended family members. At the family’s request, arrangements are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo. In lieu of flowers, because of Bonnie’s love for dogs, the family suggest memorial contributions made in her memory to a charity that supports animals & animal rescue.
