Cody Sullivan Obituary

Cody Sullivan was born in Anchorage, AK on July 2nd, 1987 to Dave and JoAnn Sullivan. He passed away unexpectedly on December 1st, 2020 in Anchorage, AK. Cody joined the army where he graduated from Ft. Benning, GA. Cody was an infantryman with the 1st Armored Division in Afghanistan, and a 3rd generation Combat Infantry Badge winner. After leaving the military, Cody trained and received certification as a Medical Assistant, a Phlebotomist, and a Pharmacy Technician. He enjoyed hunting (he shot his first black bear when he was just 13 years old), fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Cody volunteered at a local cat shelter forth the last several years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Sullivan and James “Sully” Sullivan, his best friend Heather Herman, and their sweet cats Sophie and Lola. Cody will be missed by his surviving family members, including his parents, Dave and JoAnn Sullivan; sister Allison (Richard) Musgrave; sister Brandi Finney; step-dad Skip Cothran; grandma Gerry Sullivan; grandma Mary Dean; his cat Thor; and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends all throughout the U.S. A summertime memorial service will be planned at a later date.
