Leona E. Curran Obituary

Leona E. Curran (nee Amstadt) Leona was called Home to the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Earl Curran for 68 years. Loving mother of Christine (William) Duelge, Kathleen (the late Andrew) Berendt and Earl Jr. (Laura) Curran. Proud grandmother of Jennifer (David) Hensley, Jodi (Craig) Austin, Elizabeth (James) Hischke, Heather (Frederic) Gray, Adam (Holly) Berendt, Patrick (Kristin) Curran and Brian (Dayna) Curran. Also remembered by 20 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Leona was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip (Pat) Amstadt and Donald (the late Marci and the late Ruth) Amstadt. Leona lived for her family. Primarily a homemaker, she devoted herself to raising a strong, close-knit family. A special thank you to the staff at Allay Home and Hospice for their compassionate and helpful care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15, at ST. LEONARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, W173 S7743 Westwood Dr., Muskego, at 6:00 PM. Due to the COVID situation, as you may be aware all attendees at the Mass over the age of four are required to wear a mask once inside our building and during the entire Mass. Communion will be provided with only the host. Father will give directions for Communion at the Mass. Our church is set up for social distancing and we ask households to sit together and observe six feet between households. Once folks arrive at the church, we ask them to go immediately into the church proper and have a seat. If folks arrive early, we ask that if they wish to visit that they do so outside and come in and go directly to their seat in the church for everyone's safety. After the Mass, we ask everyone to process out behind the urn and out of the building to minimize social gathering within the building. As you may be aware, we have hand sanitizer available throughout the area and in the pews for use before Communion. Private inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. Please, no flowers; memorials to PAN Foundation, a supplemental medication funding for Leona the past 3 years, donate.panfoundation.org/ P.O. Box 76408, Baltimore, MD 21275.
