MSG (Ret) Martin F. FitzPatrick passed away Nov. 22, 2020. Marty was a devoted father, soldier and friend. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the MS Army National Guard 223rd Engineering Battalion until his retirement in 2003. Marty was born in Albany, NY on Feb. 17, 1943. He married Anita D. Hall in 1972 and they settled in Aberdeen, MS to raise their children. After his retirement, they moved to Medina, TN to be close to their children and grandchildren. Marty moved to Enfield, CT to spend his last 5 years with his high school sweetheart, Barbara. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together. Marty is survived by his beloved family: daughter Tammy (Tim) Huff, son Jeffrey FitzPatrick (David), granddaughter Katherine E. Barton (Sean), grandson Jonathan T. (Jack) Huff, grandson Dakota Martin FitzPatrick-Slone, his special friend and companion Barbara Kinnin McClure, sisters Marion Anderson and Kay Brady and a host of nieces and nephews.
