Sharon Quail Moore

Sharon Quail Moore Born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 26, 1948 Departed on December 8, 2020 and resided in Port Austin, MI. Obituary SHARON QUAIL MOORE – LOVING MOTHER, SISTER, NANA, AUNT AND FRIEND Sharon Moore, of Port Austin, formerly of Birmingham, cherished her family and friends more than anything. She was happiest when she was with her children, siblings, grandchildren, and friends. There was never a time she would put herself in front of her family. In the recent years, Sharon spent time volunteering with American Legion and was active in the U&I Community Center. Throughout her life her family and friends benefited from her gift of love, sense of humor and compassion. Sharon left this world suddenly, unexpectedly, and far too soon, in Port Austin on December 8, 2020. Sharon Moore was born on December 26, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan to Robert Jr. and Vera Quail. The fourth child in a total of seven. She graduated from Seaholm High School. She was mother to Roger Jr (Jill) Moore and Megan (Brian) Scheuring. She was loving Nana to Nolan, Kaitlyn and Easton Scheuring. She was the sister to Robert III (Kris) Quail, John (Barbara) Quail, Linda Whiteman, Janet Hale, the late Thomas Quail, Brad (Suzette) Quail and sister-in-law Ann (Larry) Coleman. She was also a loving aunt to many nephews and nieces. Sharon had a childhood filled with several memories of up north trips and family vacations at the cabin on Torch river. The family always was playing games and activities. Her siblings were built in best friends from day one until the end. After Sharon was blessed with her children, she spent her entire life from that point dedicated to raising them. She was everything you can imagine a perfect Mother to be. Home with her kids during their young days and cleaning houses on the side while they were at school. She balanced PTO president, Cub Scout leader, Brownies Leader, baseball coach/scorekeeper, softball coach, softball teammate (Peabody Red Hots), pinochle group member, second Mom to best friends’ kids and cousins all while caring for the day-to-day household. Sharon and her siblings made it a priority to continue and share family reunions and Christmas eve traditions with their children and grandchildren. Memories that will never be forgotten and traditions that shall never end. Sharon made sure to introduce the up north and outdoors to her children. Many “Girls and kids” weekends at the Moore family Cottage. She worked at Comerica for many years before retiring to Port Austin and building a lake home with her two sisters. They quickly became known in the local town as “The Sisters”. She loved travelling with her sisters and friends, spending time in the sun, watching the Detroit Tigers, playing cards and visits from her family. Her newfound hobbies in Port Austin included showing her competitive side with euchre and horseshoe tournaments. She will be deeply missed by all. Family will receive friends Monday, December 14, 2020 from 10am-2pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (btwn 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak, (248) 549-0500. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, guests are limited to 25 at a time. The family plans to hold a celebration of Sharon’s life during the summer of 2021. Sharon’s final resting place will be at White Chapel cemetery in Troy, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to American Heart Association
