<p>Margaret Arline&nbsp;(nee Golden)&nbsp;Bennett, 75, recently of Lancaster, but long time resident of&nbsp;McConnellsville, Ohio passed away&nbsp;December 7, 2020. Arline was born August 7, 1945 to Thomas Leo Golden, Jr. and Margie&nbsp;Maley&nbsp;Aspelmeyer&nbsp;in Baltimore, MD. &nbsp;<br /> <br /> Arline&nbsp;was&nbsp;a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary,&nbsp;with the mission&nbsp;of&nbsp;supporting&nbsp;the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who served. Additionally, Arline&nbsp;was an advocate for truck drivers, her husband Fred having been a long haul truck driver himself.&nbsp;She was a lifetime member of the United States Transportation Alliance&nbsp;(USTA). &nbsp;&nbsp;USTA is a grassroots non-profit created by truck drivers to help develop common sense rules and regulations with the vast experience from drivers and independent drivers with the hopes of making the roads a safe place for everyone.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Arline was&nbsp;preceded&nbsp;in death by her husband, Fred Bennett. She leaves behind her children, Chris (Vera) Wyatt of Carlisle PA, Bea (George Fallar) Wyatt&nbsp;of Cave Creek AZ, Jerry&nbsp;Wyatt of Glendale AZ, Rob Nicholson of Hopatcong, NJ, Bryan (Kim) Bennett of Mt Juliet, TN and devoted daughter Jennifer Powell of Lancaster Oh, who provided&nbsp;so&nbsp;much care to Arline in her long illness. In addition to her children she leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. &nbsp;Arline was the third child of&nbsp;Margie&rsquo;s ten&nbsp;children and&nbsp;is survived by her sisters, Trudy&nbsp;(Steve)&nbsp;Noonan, Margie&nbsp;(Ed) Brown, Dotty&nbsp;(James) Payne, Linda&nbsp;Trenor, and her brother Stanley&nbsp;Golden. Three of her brothers&nbsp;preceded&nbsp;her in death, Thomas, Lawrence and Melvin&nbsp;as did her youngest sister Phyllis Newman&nbsp;and her grandson Tyler Nicholson.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> A grave side service will be held at Anderson&nbsp;Cemetery&nbsp;on 669,&nbsp;McConnelsville, Ohio at 1 PM&nbsp;on Saturday,&nbsp;19 December 2020. &nbsp;A&nbsp;get together&nbsp;will be held afterwards at the VFW Post 4713, 235 Front street, Malta Ohio.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in &ldquo;Miss Arline&rsquo;s&nbsp;honor&rdquo;&nbsp;with the USTA. Margaret Arline (nee Golden) Bennett, 75, recently of Lancaster, but long time resident of McConnellsville, Ohio passed away December 7, 2020. Arline was born August 7, 1945 to Thomas Leo Golden, Jr. and Margie Maley Aspelmeyer in Baltimore, MD.  

Arline was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary, with the mission of supporting the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who served. Additionally, Arline was an advocate for truck drivers, her husband Fred having been a long haul truck driver himself. She was a lifetime member of the United States Transportation Alliance (USTA).   USTA is a grassroots non-profit created by truck drivers to help develop common sense rules and regulations with the vast experience from drivers and independent drivers with the hopes of making the roads a safe place for everyone. 

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bennett. She leaves behind her children, Chris (Vera) Wyatt of Carlisle PA, Bea (George Fallar) Wyatt of Cave Creek AZ, Jerry Wyatt of Glendale AZ, Rob Nicholson of Hopatcong, NJ, Bryan (Kim) Bennett of Mt Juliet, TN and devoted daughter Jennifer Powell of Lancaster Oh, who provided so much care to Arline in her long illness. In addition to her children she leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Arline was the third child of Margie’s ten children and is survived by her sisters, Trudy (Steve) Noonan, Margie (Ed) Brown, Dotty (James) Payne, Linda Trenor, and her brother Stanley Golden. Three of her brothers preceded her in death, Thomas, Lawrence and Melvin as did her youngest sister Phyllis Newman and her grandson Tyler Nicholson. 

A grave side service will be held at Anderson Cemetery on 669, McConnelsville, Ohio at 1 PM on Saturday, 19 December 2020.  A get together will be held afterwards at the VFW Post 4713, 235 Front street, Malta Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in “Miss Arline’s honor” with the USTA. Their mailing address is PO Box 129, Elm, PA 17521, or via PayPal # 2025702366.
