Reverend Mark V. Bomar, Sr. Obituary

Mark Vincent Bomar Sr. was born to Henry and Phyllis Bomar on December 8,1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the third of nine children (Veree, Carmen, Duane, Henry, Aaron, Michelle, Joy and Pierre).

He graduated from Withrow High school in 1972 and began working for General Motors.

Mark married Amy Dunnom in 1975. This union produced two children; Mark Jr. and Amy.

It was through this union that he learned about the Holy Ghost under his former mother in law, Pastor Lucy Dunnom (Burning Bush Church) or as he affectionately called her, Momma Lucy.

Mark pursued many career options from managing apartments buildings, general contracting to bounty hunting.  But his true passion was to advocate for others while teaching the word of God.

So he advanced his education by receiving a master’s degree in theology, learned Hebrew and received a license in marriage counseling. He went on to not only preach the word of God but to also teach Hebrew at Temple Bible College. He joined the Baptist Ministers Conference in 1993. Creating a second chance program, managed real estate and served as president of the conference for several years up until his death.

Mark married Beverly Serles on December 15,2006.

He was ill for several years but always spoke of faith and healing. He worked hard to be his very best.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Phyllis and Henry Bomar and siblings, Carmen, Henry and Pierre Bomar. He leaves to cherish the memories of his life, wife Beverly Bomar, children Mark Bomar Jr. and Amy Johnson (Danny), 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson along with a host of family and friends.
