There will be visitation at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, on Friday, December 11th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM for Pia’s co-workers from Merck & Co. 2nd visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM for Paul’s co-workers from Union County Superior Court Due to current restrictions regarding the pandemic, funeral home attendance is limited to thirty people. You may be required to wait. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. PiaRocel Paras, 55 of Maplewood passed away on December 6, 2020. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect Street, Maplewood, on Saturday, Dec 12th at 10:00 AM. Interment is Private. There will be visitation at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, on Friday, December 11th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM for Pia’s co-workers from Merck & Co. and a 2nd visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM for Paul’s co-workers from Union County Superior Court. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations in her memory to Susan G. Komen, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 526, Dallas, TX 75244 would be appreciated. Pia was born in the Tarlac City, Philippines and has lived in Maplewood since 2002. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Philippines and her Master’s degree from Asian Institute of Management. For the past several years she has been working as an administrative assistant in the Patent Department of Merck & Co. in Rahway. Pia is survived by her husband Paul Sanjurjo, daughters Erlinda and Hannah Sanjurjo, and her brother Jean Paul Paras.
