<p>Dennis Eugene Pleau was born April 9, 1955 in Sacramento, CA to Lawrence Henry Pleau and Nathalie Elizabeth Pleau. He entered into eternal rest on November 29, 2020. Dennis lived his entire childhood in Davis, CA where he was involved in Little League and Boy Scouts, enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Dad and brothers, and shared many adventures with all the &lsquo;Sunset Court Kids&rsquo;. He attended Holy Rosary school in Woodland for a few years and graduated from Davis High School.</p> <p>Dennis received an Associate Degree in engineering and worked for Intel in San Jose, New Mexico and Colorado before returning to Woodland (or &lsquo;North-North Davis&rsquo; as he liked to call it.)</p> <p>Dennis and Debbie Smith were married on July 14, 1990. They added two sons to their family, Michael Dennis in 1992 and Steven Jay in 1993. Dennis and Debbie were avid collectors of Covair automobiles, and enjoyed their membership in the Corvair Society of America. They enjoyed many family vacations travelling through the United States in their tent trailer.</p> <p>Debbie passed away in 2007, and Dennis and his sons remained in Woodland. In his later years he became very interested in wildlife photography and became an accomplished bird photographer. After his retirement Dennis became involved with the Yolo Basin Wetland Project, becoming a docent and guiding hundreds of elementary school students through the Yolo Wetlands teaching units on local wildlife and conservation. This volunteer work brought him much joy and purpose.</p> <p>Dennis had a very strong faith and was a life-long member of St. James Catholic Church in Davis. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Pleau, his mother Nathalie Pleau, his father Lawrence Pleau and his wife, Debbie Pleau. He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Steven, his sister Elizabeth Hosmer (David), brothers James (Judy) and John (Cindi), sister-in-law Robin (Richard) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.</p> <p>Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private graveside service was held on December 11th, 2020.</p>
