Daniel John Kober of Sparta, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 30, 2018, with family at his side. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Doris (Rosenberger) Kober. From high school sweethearts to 41 years of marriage, Dan spent his days working hard in farming and trucking to provide for the true loves of his life, his wife and four children. Dan is survived by his wife Ann; sons, Brad (Amber) Kober, Matt (Danyelle) Kober, Brandon (Shalin) Kober; daughter, Michelle Kober; grandchildren, Alexandria, Kimberlynne, Ethan, Avery, Kenzie, Jay, Aaron, Grace, Waylon, Charleigh, Emerson and Eli; brother, Rodney (Denise) Kober; sisters, Dawn (Andy) Henderson, and Ronda (Brian) Abbott; brother and sister in law, Roger (Susan) Carpenter, Dan Momber, and Gary (Nancy) Momber; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bob (Judy) Simons, Ed (Sally) Lesiewicz, Gary Kraft, Tim (Marsha) Brookens, and Steve (Pat) Britt. The family would like to thank Spectrum Health Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time. There will be a time of visitation from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe Street NE, Rockford, MI 49341. The funeral service for Dan will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Algoma Baptist Church, 10515 Grange Ave NE, Rockford, MI 49341. Pastor David Fernlund will be officiating. There will also be a one hour visitation prior to the service.
