Thomas Fulk Burkhart, 87, of Martinsburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020 surrounded by his family and his 62nd wedding anniversary. Born September 26, 1933 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Grover Bud Burkhart and Mary Esther Fulk Burkhart. He was retired from General Motors after twenty-one years of service; and he was also a private contractor for the US Mail for forty-six years. He also enjoyed being a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved the horse races and buying new cars. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Patricia Ann Fiddler Burkhart; two daughters, Victoria L. Davis (Ronald); Barb Gooden (Gary Staubs); two grandchildren, Jamie Hess and Tabitha Cummings; and three great-grandchildren, Lexus Hess, Kirsten Hess, and Hayley Cummings. He was preceded in death by infant son, Thomas Patrick Burkhart and daughter, Sheila Ann Mundey. He was the last of his immediate family and preceded in death by five brothers, James, Charles, Bernard, Joseph, and Hugh Burkhart. The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 11:00AM at the Brown Funeral Home with Father Thomas Gallagher officiating. Interment prayers will be said at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
