<p>Dana Watkins Spiers, 57, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. She attended Colonial Heights Baptist Church and served thirty years as a procurement specialist for DLA Aviation. She attended Thomas Dale High School and graduated from Prince George High School. She also earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master’s Degree from Florida Institute of Technology. Dana loved animals and the beach, but above all cherished the time that she spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Emerson; and stepfather, Franklin Emerson. She is survived by her children, Rick Spiers and Madison Spiers; father, Jerry Watkins; siblings, Lorie Carroll, Lin Emerson, Wayne Watkins, and Steve Emerson; and nieces and nephews, Ashley Puryear, Jeremy Carroll, Ben Watkins, and Grace Watkins. Services will remain private. Funeral arrangements made by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
