Michael A. Nastick Obituary

Michael A. Nastick, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on November 26, 2020. He was 73. Mr. Nastick was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Henry P. Nastick, Sr., and Norma Lee Vincenti Nastick. He was the loving brother of Leni Nastick of Havre de Grace, MD, and the late Henry P. Nastick, Jr. Mr. Nastick graduated from Havre de Grace High School in 1965. He served in the U.S Air Force and did a tour of Vietnam. He then worked for Oxy Chemical until retirement. Mr. Nastick was a member of Joseph L. Davis Post 47 American Legion and the Weedon Elliot VFW Post 8126. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles, collecting decoys and spending time with family and friends. He was gifted with the ability to build or repair absolutely anything. Being proud of his family heritage, he loved researching genealogy. Mr. Nastick or “Mr Mike” (as he was fondly known around Havre de Grace) loved spending time with people in general. He was a great listener and storyteller and was loved in is community and by anyone he had to the pleasure of meeting. He also had a great sense of humor and always made people around him laugh. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important—the simplicity of living a life with those he loved. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later time. Funeral services will be private for family and close friends only. Contributions may be made in his memory to American Legion Post 47, 500 St. John Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Online condolences may be made at: www.zellmanfuenralhome.com
