<p><span style="font-size:18px;">Florence Willits, loving wife to Sam (d. 2012) passed unexpectedly, but peacefully on the morning of December 4, 2020 at age 97. Florence was vibrant and still loving life until her passing.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;">Florence grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduated from the University of Michigan, married and moved to the Chicago area where she raised three children:&nbsp;Linda, David and Steve.&nbsp;Florence loved her family, friends, nature, boating, tennis and had a deep sustaining faith.&nbsp;Florence is survived by her children; her son-in-law, Alan Sandlin; daughter-in-law, Judy Willits; three grandchildren: Kelsey Wanless and husband Brandon, Scott and Mackenzie Willits; and four great-grandchildren: Peter, Meg, Clare, and Lucy.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 18px;">A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 11th at 11am at Evergreen Cemetery, 610 S. Dundee Ave., Barrington, IL.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;">Florence requests your kind donations go to the church she and Sam helped found, The Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E. Florence Willits, loving wife to Sam (d. 2012) passed unexpectedly, but peacefully on the morning of December 4, 2020 at age 97. Florence was vibrant and still loving life until her passing.

Florence grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduated from the University of Michigan, married and moved to the Chicago area where she raised three children: Linda, David and Steve. Florence loved her family, friends, nature, boating, tennis and had a deep sustaining faith. Florence is survived by her children; her son-in-law, Alan Sandlin; daughter-in-law, Judy Willits; three grandchildren: Kelsey Wanless and husband Brandon, Scott and Mackenzie Willits; and four great-grandchildren: Peter, Meg, Clare, and Lucy.
