<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Gary Anthony Sullivan, Sr.</strong> was the eldest of three children born to Charles R. Sullivan and Shirley A. Harris Sullivan, on May 7, 1955&nbsp;in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Gary </strong>attended Jacksonville Beach Elementary and graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School. He furthered his education at Florida Community College at Jacksonville.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A college romance blossomed into marriage to Lillie Jean Thomas, and to this union two children were born, Gary Anthony Sullivan, Jr. and Elizabeth Elnora Sullivan.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Being from a Christian family, <strong>Gary </strong>accompanied his family to church and later became a member of St. Andrew African Methodist Episcopal Church. From a child through adulthood, he served faithfully in various areas of the ministry.&nbsp; He served as a Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School, Class Leader, and Sound Technician. Later in life, he became a member of New Life Christian Fellowship. At New Life, he served on the prayer team and in the Ministry of Hospitality. He was also involved in his community and served as a volunteer at the Rhoda L. Martin Cultural Heritage Center in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Gary </strong>enjoyed writing.&nbsp; He has written poems, plays, and authored two books.&nbsp; He was also tech savvy and enjoyed learning about computers and developing his skills in technology.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Gary </strong>began his transition from earth life to life eternal on Saturday, December 5, 2020 on the Mayo Clinic Campus at Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Geneva Harris; mother, Shirley Ann Harris Graham; stepfather, Willie Graham; father, Charles R. Sullivan; sister, Lou Ann Townsend; and his father-in-law, Mose Thomas, II.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Cherishing his life is his loving wife, Lillie J. Sullivan; a devoted son and daughter, Gary Anthony Sullivan, Jr. (Erica) and Elizabeth Elnora Sullivan; sister, Paulette Estrella; grandson, Natez Sullivan; granddaughter, De&rsquo;Nazha Davis; mother-in-law, Dorothy J. Thomas; sister-in-law, Vonna (Ronald) Milligan, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Samuel L. Thomas, Phillip Thomas (Zenobia), Andrew Thomas and John Thomas (Carol); goddaughter, Alyssa Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Sarah L. Gary Anthony Sullivan, Sr. was the eldest of three children born to Charles R. Sullivan and Shirley A. Harris Sullivan, on May 7, 1955 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Gary attended Jacksonville Beach Elementary and graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School. He furthered his education at Florida Community College at Jacksonville.

A college romance blossomed into marriage to Lillie Jean Thomas, and to this union two children were born, Gary Anthony Sullivan, Jr. and Elizabeth Elnora Sullivan.

Being from a Christian family, Gary accompanied his family to church and later became a member of St. Andrew African Methodist Episcopal Church.
