<p>Johnny Robert Culberson, age 77, a resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida for over 40 years, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020.&nbsp; He was born on August 8, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to James Edward and Anna Swafford Culberson.&nbsp;</p> <p>Johnny proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired after 23 dedicated years.&nbsp; He was a highly decorated communications technician.&nbsp; Johnny served in Vietnam as a forward air controller and was assigned to the First Calvary Division which was the beginning of the TAC-P program at Hurlburt Field where he was an instructor until his retirement in 1985.&nbsp; Johnny was a faithful Christian and active in several area churches where he served as the minister of music and choir director.&nbsp; Most of all, Johnny loved his family - he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.&nbsp; He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Sue Everett Culberson; daughter, Pam (Mike) Tolar; Darin (Stacie) Culberson; Daryl (Jo) Culberson; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>The family will have private funeral services due to COVID-19 concerns&nbsp;and welcomes friends to the graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, FL, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 2 PM.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>To share memories, express condolences and sign the guestbook, please visit www.daviswatkins.com</p>

Johnny Robert Culberson, age 77, a resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida for over 40 years, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020.  He was born on August 8, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to James Edward and Anna Swafford Culberson.
