<p>Mildred Ann Chavis, 87, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, December 4, 2020.</p><p><br></p><p> She was born January 22, 1933 in Pastoria, daughter of Bennie and Emma McBurnett Young.</p><p><br></p><p> Mrs. Chavis was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1951. </p><p><br></p><p> She worked for the Pine Bluff Glass Company for several years as a bookkeeper and later in the Dollarway School cafeteria.</p><p><br></p><p> Mrs. Chavis was a member of Hardin Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.</p><p>Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Chavis, whom she married November 21, 1951 in Pine Bluff.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Chavis had no immediate survivors.</p><p><br></p><p> Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with Brother Johnny Taylor officiating. Visitation will follow the service at Robinson and Fuller. Burial will be private. Mildred Ann Chavis, 87, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, December 4, 2020.


She was born January 22, 1933 in Pastoria, daughter of Bennie and Emma McBurnett Young.


Mrs. Chavis was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1951.
