Ralph Eugene Rosse Obituary

Ralph Eugene Rosse, 79 of Maxwell, NE died December 2, 2020 in Kearney, NE.

Ralph was born October 18, 1941 in Randolph, Nebraska to Osse and Ione (Wood) Rosse.  He graduated high school from Curtis Ag School in Curtis Nebraska in 1960. After graduation he returned to the family farm south of Maxwell and farmed with his parents, eventually taking over the farm. He enlisted in the United States Army reserves on August 15, 1966 and was honorably discharged on December 31, 1971 as a specialist 4, and was an active member of the American Legion.

He married Patricia Boon on January 18, 1969. To this union two children were born, Dwain and Debi. He later went to work for Lincoln County Road department where he worked for 20 years before retiring in 2003. Ralph loved to cook and never knew a stranger. On November 24, 2007 he married his high school sweetheart Linda Kay (Huff) Rosse. Together they enjoyed life and made many memories.

Survivors include his wife Linda Rosse, son Dwain (Mikelle) Rosse of Thornton Colorado, daughter Deb (Cody) May of Brady; five grandchildren Jacob, Landon, Emaleigh Rosse and Michael and Mason May; brother Art Rosse of Texas and his sister Patricia Johnson of Cozad, and many extended family and close friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and brothers David and Alan Rosse.

Service will be held at Plainview cemetery south of Maxwell Nebraska at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Dinner to follow at Maxwell Hall in Maxwell, NE from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM.

Memorials may be given to the family to be determined at later date.
