<p>Mr. Eli Maurice Scott, 83, a resident of Winston-Salem, passed away December 3, 2020.</p> <p>Eli was born January 14, 1937 in Ramseur, NC (Randolph County) a son of the late Eli Scott and the late Ella Pugh Scott. He had made this area his home most of his life. Eli was a truck driver for Pilot Freight, Consolidated Freight and had last worked for the city of Thomasville. Eli enjoyed spending time outside and loved riding horses and motorcycles. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Scott, four sisters, Ruth Cox, Louise Bailey, Virginia Smith, Miriam Sims, and a grandson. In 1978 he married Karen Campbell who survives of the home.</p> <p>Also surviving is his sons, Terry Scott of Midway, Mark Scott of Kernersville; daughter, Regenna Greenleaf of King; step-daughter, Kristy Knight; three grandchildren, step-grandson, Aaron Nelson; several great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Roberts of Ramseur, Ann Burris of Albemarle.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 7, 2020 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ernie Plemmons officiating. There will not be a formal visitation. Mr. Scott will lie in repose from 3 pm until 5 pm Sunday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Winston-Salem (Wallburg) for family and friends to pay their respects.
