Junior Franklin Mills, 94, of Martinsburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility. Born January 28, 1926 in Paw Paw, WV, he was the son of the late Thorney Franklin Mills and Mary Evelyn Cloud Mills. Junior served in the United States Navy, after his return from World War II in 1946, he married Dorothy Jo Keiter on June 15, 1946. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. He had retired from the Chessie System Company after 35 years. He is survived by his one grandson, Colin M. Mills; a brother, Boyd Mills and wife, Frances; nephew, Bobby and wife, Paula; niece, Marsha and husband, Chip; and best friend, Carolyn Shimp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane Keiter Mills; one son, Gary F. Mills; two brothers, David, and Carroll Mills; and one sister, Juanita Mills. The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
