DANVERS - Richard E. Glazier, 26, of Danvers, passed away at home after a courageous battle with addiction on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Born in Beverly, he was the beloved son of Richard A. and Cynthia M. (Bunten) Glazier. A 2012 graduate of St. John’s Preparatory High School in Danvers, Richard attended Norwich University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He was employed as an Operator for Boston Conveyor & Automation, where he worked along side his father, uncle, and cousin. He was passionate about his work and showed incredible leadership and drive. Richard (Richie) brought joy to all who knew him. A humorous, exuberant young man, and amazing athlete, gone too soon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving younger sister, Jenna Glazier and her fiancé Bryce Henderson of Wilmington. Richard is also survived by his grandmother, Cornelia Glazier of Beverly; four uncles, Andrew Glazier and his wife Lori of Beverly, Christopher Glazier and his wife Sharon of York, ME, Phillip Bunten and his wife Cheryl of New Gloucester, ME, and David Bunten and his wife Maria of Reading; three aunts, Janet Laverdiere and her husband James of Topsfield, Cheryl Hassell of Texas, and Sandra Bunten of Danvers; and close family friend, Walter Keenan of Salem. Richard leaves behind many beloved cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Audrey M. Adler and paternal grandfather, Richard L. Glazier. His visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 3-5 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please wear a face covering and practice social distancing while in the funeral home. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a the Glazier residence, on Saturday, December 12, 2020 anytime between 2:00 and 6:00pm.
