Lucille V. (Wirfel) Sawyer, 92, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Granby, CT. She was born to the late Edward and Katherine Wirfel in Queens, NY. She was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School and worked at Chase Manhattan Bank in NY. She also worked at Pat Reach Decorations and was a billing clerk for Doctors Long and Kingra in Westfield for many years. Lucille is survived by her son daughter Eileen (Shawn) Scully, her son Tom (Michelle) Sawyer, her daughter-in-law Debbie Sawyer, seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Joan Holloway and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert F. (2016), her son Michael F. (2017), a daughter Maureen C. (1988) and a sister Dorothy Schulten (NY). Many thanks to the staff at Meadowbrook Nursing Home for their compassionate care. A Funeral Service for Lucille will be held on Monday at 1PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield.
