Lincoln- Jerry D. McAfee ,71, passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Jerry was born on January 31, 1949 in Springfield, IL; son of Daniel and Josephine (Gipson) McAfee. He married Linda Tooman and then later married Carol (Tholen) Langley on August 3, 1994 in Lincoln, IL. Surviving Jerry is his mother: Josephine Hammond, his wife of 36 years: Carol Langley-McAfee, his children: Jason (Cathy) McAfee, Danielle (Tony) Johnson, and Chris (Monica) McAfee; two stepsons: Patrick (Rebecca) Langley and Daniel (Lori) Langley; one sister: Judy Campbell; five grandchildren: Curtis Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Chase McAfee, Joe McAfee, and Olivia McAfee; five step grandchildren: Zachary Langley, Megan Behrends, Paige Langley, Jacob Langley, and Kyle Williams; one great-grandson: Weston Johnson and four step great-grandchildren: Jayden Behrends, Kinley Behrends, Baylor Behrends, and Theodore Langley. He was preceded in death by his father and four brothers: Gene, David, Richard, and Roy McAfee. Jerry was a retired Carpenter and member of the Carpenter’s Union Local # 27. A graveside service for Jerry will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln, IL with Larry Crawford officiating. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
