     H. Jane Detwiler, 78, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday evening, December 3, 2020, at Altoona Center for Nursing.

     She was born in rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Lewis R. and Verna Marie (Wicker) Walls.  On December 21, 1962, she married Dean A. Detwiler in Winchester, VA, and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2001.

     Surviving are a son, Brian J. (Amyjo) Detwiler of Altoona; 7 grandchildren: Casey, Madison, Bailey and Benjamin Detwiler, Aiden, Parker and Owen White; and a brother, Richard “Dick” D. Walls of Westernport, MD;

     She was preceded in death by an infant brother, R. Ronald Walls and a half-brother, Dale B. Tate and a half-sister, Evelyn L. Farringer.

     Jane was a 1960 graduate of Williamsburg High School and previously worked as a machine tender for Westvaco, Williamsburg.

     She was a member of the former Williamsburg Church of God (Grace Pointe Community Church) and attended the Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg, where she played piano for Sunday services.

     Jane was also a longtime member of the Williamsburg Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as past-president.  She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed playing Uno with her grandchildren and crocheting.

     Friends will be received from 6-8pm, Monday, December 7, 2020, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the funeral home, her son, Pastor Brian J. Detwiler officiating.  Private interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Jane can be made to Center City Church, 1220 12th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601, for the restoration of the former United Methodist Church, to further the Gospel of Christ.
