Vernell C. Vickers, age 96 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this lifeThursday, December 3, 2020, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. She was born Friday, May 16, 1924 in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Elvis and Rhoda (Brown) Bush. Vernell was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed going to church and was a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God in Cookeville. She enjoyed talking with everyone. She is survived by: 2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Lavenia and Bill Underwood of Rickman, TN Wynette and Ted Maynard of Sparta, TN 1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Cleston and Kathy Vickers of Cookeville, TN 5 Grandchildren: Eric Vickers, Corey Vickers, Robbie Underwood, Christy Vickers, and Jamie Sawyer 10 Great Grandchildren: Gracie, Keegan, Malachi, Creed, Thaddeus, Cami Beth, Kylee, Cason, Conor, and Maddox. 1 Sister and Brother-in-law: Betty and Jack Williams of Buffalo Valley, TN 1 Sister-in-law: Lueddie Bush of Cookeville, TN Funeral services for Vernell will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM at Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. John Lombard officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, December 7, from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
