Thomas C. Gurrera

Thomas C. Gurrera, 84 of Barnegat, passed away on Thursday December 3, 2020 at his home. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Lena (Minervino) Gurrera. Thomas lived in Belleville before coming to Barnegat 12 years ago. Mr. Gurrera was the owner of All County Insurance in Newark and South Orange before retiring. He was a member and former president of the Insurance Brokers Association and former member of the New Jersey State Board of Assigned Risk Plan. Thomas was also a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Angela (Castiglione) Gurrera. He is survived by his brother, Jack R. Gurrera and his wife, Angela and his companion, Joanne Coslop. He was the dear uncle of Donna, Cheryl, Maria and Jacqueline, 9 great nieces and nephews and 1 great grandniece. A Funeral Service will be held at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday December 7 at 11 am followed by entombment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).
