Harrison Pendley

Harrison Pendley, 83 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday December 2, 2020 at his residence. Harrison was born November 21, 1937 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Vernon Paul and Rachel Susan Childers Pendley. He attended Union Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner, logger and farmer. Harrison loved coon hunting, bird hunting, his dogs and spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son Tony Pendley and two sisters Pansy Kessinger and Mickey Kirby. Harrison Pendley is survived by his wife Delphia Gidcumb Pendley of Morgantown, KY; two daughters Tammy Phelps (Doug) and Pam Rose (Gigi) both of Morgantown, KY; five grandchildren Ryan Pendley (Dana), Jared Rose (Gradie) both of Morgantown, KY, Dillon Phelps (Amy Silva) of Louisville, KY, Tyler Pendley and Tabitha Pendley both of Russellville, KY; two great grandchildren Lane and Kimber Pendley of Morgantown, KY; two sisters Betty Phelps of Morgantown, KY and Jean Thompson (Stewart) of Bowling Green, KY and one brother Dallas Pendley (Kathy) of Morgantown, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Due to the Covid - 19 virus, a drive thru visitation will be held on Saturday December 5, 2020 from 11:00am - 12:30pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. A private funeral service will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Don Rogers officiating. A private burial will be held in the Sandy Creek Cemetery.
