<p>Jackie Dean Andres, Independence, passed away on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Cremation will take place with Potts Chapel of Independence. Visitation will be held Friday, December 4th, from 4:00-8:00pm at Potts Chapel.</p> <p>Jackie was born on December 31, 1942 in Independence, Kansas. He was the son of Roy A. and Elva E. (Caldwell) Andres. He grew up in Independence and graduated from Independence High School in 1960. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force. He served 25 years. He retired from the Solano County Corrections Sheriff&rsquo;s Department after dedicating 13 years.</p> <p>He enjoyed golfing and motorcycling. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and was a Shriner.</p> <p>Preceding him in death were his parents, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anthony and Pat Malachowski.</p> <p>Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Nadine, sons: Stephen (Misty) Lanterman and Aaron (Lynne) Andres, daughter Robin (Kate) Lanterman, grandson Jake Andres, granddaughter Lila Andres, brothers: Gary (Judy) Andres, Dennis (Veronica) Andres, Danny (Carla) Andres, David (Stacy) Andres and Bill (Jeanie) Andres, sister Kay (Ron) Hensley, brother-in-law Tom (Sandra) Waldron, niece Cindy Ann Rickman, great-nephew Jacob Zitskin and many nieces and nephews.</p>

Jackie was born on December 31, 1942 in Independence, Kansas. He was the son of Roy A. and Elva E. (Caldwell) Andres. He grew up in Independence and graduated from Independence High School in 1960.
