Kathyrn Lynn "Kat" Yates Tackett, age 57, of Teaberry, KY wife of Hershel Tackett, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. She was born March 20, 1963 in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of Virgie Howell Yates and the late Jimmy Yates. Kathyrn was an Office Manager for the Floyd County School System and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Betsy Layne, KY.

   In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son: Casey (Samantha) Tackett, two daughters; Becky Tackett (Shawn) Wallen, Majaia Tackett, two brothers; Jimmy "Buck" Yates, Jr, Timothy (Amy) Yates, two sisters; Patty (Chris) Evans, Shelia (Stacy) Hall, 5 grandchildren; Caden, Jarrett, Lucas, Anthony and Alayna.

    She was preceded in death by her father.

     Funeral service for "Kat" will be conducted on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church, Betsy Layne, KY, with Tim McClanahan and Mike Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Point Cemetery, Mink Branch, Craynor, KY. Visitation will be after 6 PM on Friday and all day Saturday at the Church.
