David J. Bivens of Ringgold, Virginia, passed away on December 1, 2020, at the age of 81. He was born on November 2, 1939, to the late Wilma Byrd Bivens and the late Henry Bivens in North Carolina. He was predeceased by his first wife Hilda McGuire Bivens and his second wife Jeanette Williams Bivens. David was a member of Riveroak Church of God and was the owner of Bivens-Winchester which he retired from in 1986. He is survived by his sons Michael D. Bivens (Sharon) of Statesville, North Carolina, and Anthony D. Bivens (Lisa) of Sutherlin, Virginia; his daughters Teresa B. Tuck (Ricky) of Ringgold, Virginia, Wendy B. Moran (Dennis) of Ringgold, Virginia, and Sheila B. Davis (Terrell) of Greenville, South Carolina; his son-in-law Clay Paxton of Danville, Virginia; sister Millie B. Hale (Arnold) of High Point, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and his very special and loving friend Forrest K. Adams of Danville, Virginia. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his daughter Rose Bivens Paxton and three great-grandchildren. A private service will be held at Norris Funeral Services' Mt Hermon Chapel on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 2:00PM with Rev. Mike Bivens officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
