MARILYN L. GROTE, age 76 of Sidney, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 9:40 PM at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. She was born on July 17, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Melvin and Marcella (Henn) Rutherford.

Marilyn is survived by three children, Jeffrey (Melanie) Grote of Piqua, Raymond J. Grote of York Haven, PA, and Theresa (Norman) Strausbaugh of Pittsburgh, PA, one sister, Melvilyn Kaufhold of New Jersey, and six grandchildren, Raymond, Caitlin, Jessica, Amanda, Jeffrey, and Killian. She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Rutherford, and one sister, Marlene Dillard.

Mrs. Grote worked as a caregiver for MRDD.

In keeping with Marilyn's wishes, her body will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the family's convenience. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
