Joan Harriet Levinsohn Isaacman

Joan Harriet Levinsohn Isaacman, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her residence. Born on March 2, 1932 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Joseph and Pauline (Brenner) Levinsohn. Joan was a graduate of the former William Penn High School Class of 1950 and Penn State University Class of 1954. Joan was a life member of Beth El Temple, Harrisburg, where she served as the chairman of the Memorial Book Committee. She had taught at the Jewish Community Center nursery school. She was a life member of Hadassah. She enjoyed cooking and baking, she especially made the most delicious coffee cake and kugel, and called Aruba her second home. Joan was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ronald “ZZ” Isaacman, and her brothers, Sydney Coplin and Joseph Coplin. Surviving are her 2 sons, Stephen Isaacman of Los Angeles, CA, Larry Isaacman and his wife, Janet (Firestone) of Ambler, and her granddaughter, Ali Isaacman. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Beth El Temple Cemetery. Zoom information for the service is, Meeting ID: 98832628291, Passcode: 499912.
