Michael Pallas Obituary

Michael Pallas of Peoria, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Banner Boswell Hospital in Sun City. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mane Pallas, and his sister, Bessie Zaverdinos. Mike was a proud U.S. Marine and served our country during the Korean War. Mike was born in New York City and raised his family there until his retirement from Unisys where he worked as a senior electrical engineer. Mike held multiple patents in the national defense industry. Mike was a man of many talents (“Dad could fix anything”) and could solve almost any automotive, mechanical, construction or electrical problem. After retirement, Mike moved to Arizona to be closer to his family. He was an avid volunteer and donated his time at Arrowhead Hospital, Community Church of Joy and the Phoenix Police Dept. Mike enjoyed tinkering with all kinds of projects, helping friends, talking politics and being proud of his grandchildren. Mike is survived by his sister Jeanie (Gus) Xikis, his four children, James (Maritza), Christina Sapala (Donald), Thomas (Nancy) and David (Karla), his grandchildren, Lily, Michael, Amanda, David, Brandon, Justine, Tyler, Desiree, Sabrina and Christopher, his great granddaughter, Joseline as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was dearly loved by his family and will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Semper Fi.
