(Doris) Fayerene Kiper Obituary

Our precious sister, (Doris) Fayerene Kiper, 70, passed into heaven on December 1, 2020.  Fayerene, a twin daughter of Hiram A. Oscar and Ina Beatress Rhodes Kiper, was born in Artesia, New Mexico on June 29, 1950.  Fayerene was injured at birth, causing a high fever, leaving her with a mental capacity of approximately two-years-old.  Fayerene was a very loving person and there were no limits to her love. Fayerene cared deeply for others. She loved shopping, helping others cook and clean, donating to organizations or individuals and buying presents for her housemates and sister.

Fayerene is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, two sisters:  Caroline Kiper and Bessie Kiper Hall, and brother-in-law, Dwaine Douglas.  Fayerene is survived by her twin sister, Wayelene Haley (Eugene) of Roswell, sister, Elizabeth Douglas of Elk River, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Chan Hall of Bakersfield, California, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Fayerene is also survived by her very special friends: Dee Dee and Kee Kee.

Thank You to all of Fayerene’s staff and caregivers at Tobosa Developmental Services, Team members, and her case managers from J & J Homecare, Inc. for all of their loving care.  Thank You to Amanda, Connie, Dianna, Gena, Laquita, Michelle, Natalie, Regina, and Suzanne, who were her caregivers for many years.  A very special Thank You goes to Fayerene’s “Mama Tia”, Lucy, who was her caregiver for over 20 years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Burial will occur at a later date at the Hagerman Cemetery, Hagerman, New Mexico.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bonita Park Campground and Conference Center, 200 Bonita Park Road, Angus, NM  88316.

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (NASB)

When tomorrow starts without me
please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name,
and took me by the hand;
and said my place was ready.
In Heaven far above,
and that I’d have to leave behind
all those I dearly love.
I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
and each time that you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.
But when I walked
through Heavens Gates
I felt so much at home,
for God looked down, smiled at me,
and told me “Welcome Home.”
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we are far apart,
for every time you think of me,

I’m right there in your heart.
