Hermine E. Kwekkeboom Obituary

SHEBOYGAN FALLS - Hermine Kwekkeboom, age 87, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Nov. 30, 2020 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, with family at her side. She was born on Nov. 11, 1933, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Herman and Elsie Schwaderer. She graduated from Washington High School, Milwaukee in 1951. She married the love of her life, John Kwekkeboom on July 2, 1955, in Milwaukee. Hermine worked as a secretary at the UW Extension Sheboygan County office for 19 years, retiring in 1995. Hermine loved her children and friends dearly. She gave the gift of life to her daughter Lora twice, once in birth and again through a kidney transplant that significantly extended her life. Hermine was a compassionate listener and supportive hand to many a friend, especially in her retirement years. She took time to enjoy life, vacationing and getting together with good friends, and spending hours tending to nature at the country dream home she built with her husband and shared for 50 years. Hermine had a sharp wit and possessed remarkable grit in the face of life’s adversities. Hermine is survived by her four children, Kurt (Cynthia) Kwekkeboom of Sheboygan Falls, Karen (David) Marrow of Tulsa, OK, Lisa (Douglas) Drews of Sheboygan Falls and Kristine (Marc Weber) Kwekkeboom of Fitchburg; eight grandchildren, Luke (Tracy) Kwekkeboom, Amy Kwekkeboom, Levi (Lorna) Keach, Elise Keach, Josiah Keach, Ashley (Mathew Garvin) Jetzer, Elizabeth (Dustin) Wetor and Dylan Drews; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Lora Jetzer; her parents; and a special nephew, Paul Kwekkeboom. Per Hermine’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Hermine’s name to Smile Train, Milwaukee PBS, Agrace HospiceCare or the charity of your choice.
