Mr. Charlie E. Cox, age 86, of Taylorsville, GA passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Mr. Cox was born in Taylorsville, GA on February 16, 1934, a son of the late Clenton Cox and the late Katie Collum Cox. Charlie had lived all of his life in Taylorsville and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church for sixty three years. He enjoyed farming and was retired from Union Carbide where he worked for thirty two years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Cox. Survivors include his wife of sixty five years, Juanita Dilbeck Cox, Taylorsville, to whom he was married on November 12, 1955; son, Randy Cox and his wife, Karen, Taylorsville; granddaughter, Kasey Holloway and her husband, Ben, Acworth; great-grandson, Liam Holloway; two nieces: Donna Thompson, and Deborah Roberts and her husband Ricky. Mr. Cox will lie instate Saturday morning, December 5, 2020 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home. The family will have a private graveside service. Pallbearers will include: L.C. Cornwell, Justin Spires, Bob Allen, Glen Wimpy, Leonel Cruz, and Dylan Brott. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Charlie E. Cox.
