<p>Norman Edward &ldquo;Eddie&rdquo; Henry was born in his home in Springfield, Massachusetts February 15, 1926 to Norman and Mary Henry, raised with his older sisters Florence and Eleanor.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ed served in the 3794 Airforce Base Unit as a Private First Class in Florida training on B25 bombers during the end of World War II. &nbsp;He married Elinor Atkinson in 1949 and they were inseparable&nbsp;for 62 years. They adopted three children, Susan Jean, Mark Crawford and Karen Elizabeth.&nbsp;</p> <p>In 1970, after a visit to California to see cousins, the family left East Long Meadow, Massachusetts and relocated across country and settled in San Diego.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ed spent most of his professional career in Banking as an Operations Manager and Auditor. Ed was also a lifetime Freemason with the Springfield Indian Orchard Lodge.&nbsp;In his off time he could be found sailing off Shelter Island, learning how to pilot cessna planes, refurbishing a Ford Model T, on a cruise to Hawaii or Mexico or traveling across country in the RV. He was always up for his next adventure.</p> <p>Ed is survived by his Daughters Susan McCoy widow to Paul of Escondido Ca and Karen Lander wife to Hugh of Mission Viejo, Ca, his three grandchildren Chelsea Koehnen wife to Josh, &nbsp;Matilda and Henry and three great grandchildren Kaylie, Ella and Avery. Predeceased by his Wife Elinor, Son Mark Henry, sisters Florence LaFountain and Eleanor DeGowin, Donald and Glady Atkinson, parents Norman William Atkinson and Mary &ldquo;May&rdquo; Elizabeth (n&eacute;e Bridge), and son in law Paul McCoy.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Norman Edward “Eddie” Henry was born in his home in Springfield, Massachusetts February 15, 1926 to Norman and Mary Henry, raised with his older sisters Florence and Eleanor.
