John David Gray

John David Gray was born June 14, 1969 in Denver, Colorado. He passed away at home on November 29, 2020 after a prolonged illness. The family moved to Independence when he was 5 years old. He attended Sycamore Hills, Bridger and Truman Schools. Most of his working years were spent doing construction and gutter work for Complete Home Concepts. John is survived by his daughter, Stevie Visnosky Lloyd, husband Mark and children Aurora, Atlas and Cosmo and new baby on the way; his son, John Michael Gray, wife Chelsea and children, Ivan and Riverlynn; and another son, Benjamin James Gray 8 years, at home. John is survived by brother, Randy Gray; brother, Joseph Gray and wife Connie; sister, Stephanie Jackson and husband Walter; mother, Suzanne Gray and father Joe Gray of Independence Missouri; nephew, Cole Jackson; nieces Erin Kline, husband Anthony, Shellis Gray and Katie Matic, husband Dan; great grand-nephews Bryson, Carter, Jaxson, Mason, Brayden, Brenton, Aubryanna, Ollie and new baby on the way. John was a member of Lawrence Indian United Methodist Church and the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th. St in Independence, MO. A memorial service will be private for family only.
