<p>Dwight Corbin, age 83 of Puryear, TN, died Monday November 30, 2020, at his residence.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He retired after many years as a bander operator for Mohon International in Paris.&nbsp; He formerly worked as a millwright for Chrysler Corporation and also for Emerson Electric.&nbsp; Along with his wife, Dwight was the former owner of Corbin&rsquo;s Corner in Puryear.&nbsp; He was a member and deacon of Puryear Baptist Church.&nbsp; He loved woodworking, hunting, and spending time with his family.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Dwight was born June 19, 1937, in Johannesburg, MI, to the late Harold Caryle Corbin and the late Lorena Lillie Blood Corbin.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He was married July 5, 1958, to his wife of 62 years, Mildred Elizabeth Jackson Corbin, who survives, of Puryear.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Annette M. Corbin of Puryear, TN, and Karen Corbin-Baker of Puryear, TN; two sons, Michael (Traci) Corbin of Evans, GA, and Jason (Dana) Corbin of Central Florida; three sisters, Genieve Burzynski of Gaylord, MI, Carol (Robert) Thomas of Johannesburg, MI, and Kathleen (Raad) Mooneyhan of Lee&rsquo;s Summit, MO; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Verla Rusch; and one brother, William &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; Corbin,</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.&nbsp; Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 4:00 pm &ndash; 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 10:00 am &ndash; 11:00 am.&nbsp; The funeral service will be Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mike Rhodes, Dwayne Chadwick, and Chad Kennedy officiating.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Corbin, Aaron Corbin, Dakota Corbin, Mark Robinson, Russell Shoemaker, and Jeremy Verdell.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Dwight Corbin, age 83 of Puryear, TN, died Monday November 30, 2020, at his residence.

 

He retired after many years as a bander operator for Mohon International in Paris.  He formerly worked as a millwright for Chrysler Corporation and also for Emerson Electric.  Along with his wife, Dwight was the former owner of Corbin’s Corner in Puryear.  He was a member and deacon of Puryear Baptist Church.  He loved woodworking, hunting, and spending time with his family.

 

Dwight was born June 19, 1937, in Johannesburg, MI, to the late Harold Caryle Corbin and the late Lorena Lillie Blood Corbin.

 

He was married July 5, 1958, to his wife of 62 years, Mildred Elizabeth Jackson Corbin, who survives, of Puryear.

 

Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Annette M. Corbin of Puryear, TN, and Karen Corbin-Baker of Puryear, TN; two sons, Michael (Traci) Corbin of Evans, GA, and Jason (Dana) Corbin of Central Florida; three sisters, Genieve Burzynski of Gaylord, MI, Carol (Robert) Thomas of Johannesburg, MI, and Kathleen (Raad) Mooneyhan of Lee’s Summit, MO; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mike Rhodes, Dwayne Chadwick, and Chad Kennedy officiating.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Corbin, Aaron Corbin, Dakota Corbin, Mark Robinson, Russell Shoemaker, and Jeremy Verdell.

 

Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris.
