Marilyn Scully, 90, West Fargo, ND died on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 at Sunnyside Care Center near Lake Park, MN.

Marilyn Frances Miller was born on June 13, 1930 to John and Alice (Kriedlkamp) in West Bend, WI.  Marilyn was raised on the family farm near Cuba, ND. She attended the Cuba School until the 5th grade and then St. Catherine’s School of Valley City where she graduated in 1949. In 1952, Marilyn was united in marriage to Arthur Scully at St. Catherine’s.

Marilyn and Art lived at Valley City where she was employed as the office manager at Sheyenne Care Center and as an ER aide at Mercy Hospital. They moved to West Fargo and she worked as the office manager in a family practice clinic in the Professional Bldg in Fargo. She retired from the doctor’s office in 2000 and later worked at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch in West Fargo.

Marilyn and Art loved to travel. She enjoyed baking and sewing for her daughters. She was a very active member of Blessed Sacrament Parish since 1964 as well as the West Fargo VFW and Valley City VFW. A highlight for her was receiving the “Mother of the Year” Award in 2000 from the Presentation Sisters.

Marilyn is survived by children, Michael (Laurie) Scully, Bismarck, Tim (Kathy) Scully, Plymouth, MN, Teresa (Dale) Bohner, Lake Park, MN and Colleen (Randy) Scully-Myhre, Durbin, ND; grandchildren, Jason (Jen) Scully, Mathew Scully, Katie Scully, Brent Bohner, Lori Bohner, Luke (Kim) Fillbrandt, Ashley Fillbrandt, Joe Fillbrandt, Nick Senf, Brandi (Josh) Anderson, Nicole (Blake) Simon, Shannon Scully; great grandchildren, Sienna and Parker Scully, Izabella Pitts, Jackson and Grant Senf, Adam and Kaylee Anderson, Jaxton and Kiana Bohner, Max Blue and Clare Simon; brother, Andrew (Darlene) Miller; sisters Sharon Kinney, Audre (Leroy) Suhr and Phyllis (David) Davis; sisters-in-law, Lois Reardon, Margaret Heise, Judy Manley, Alice Scully; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in Death by her husband; two daughters, Rosemary & Lori; and 4 brothers-in-law.

Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Private Funeral Mass: Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo. (service can be viewed on the funeral home website starting Monday at 2 PM)

Interment: Monday at 1 PM at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Valley City.
