Ann Holda Wiewel Of Arlington Heights Ann H. Wiewel was born on June 19, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to Max and Anna (nee Wolski) Holda. She died Monday, November 30, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Wiewel worked as an Earth Science Teacher for St. Viator High School from 1980-1985, for Downers Grove from 1991-1992 and was tenured at Mundelein High School from 1992-1995. She was also a manager at her father's company Allied Golf from 1987-1991. She enjoyed scrapbooking at the Senior Center in Arlington Heights; was a Boy Scouts Merit Badge Counselor; a Science Olympiad Coach (both fossils and rocks & minerals) at Thomas Middle School in Arlington Heights; she sponsored Chess Clubs at Mundelein High School from 1994-1995, at St. James Elementary School from 2003-2008 and at Thomas Middle School from 2008-2015; she also served on various yearbook committees. Ann is survived by her spouse of almost 26 years Jeffry Wiewel; son Matthew Jeffrey Wiewel; brother Edward (Debbie) Holda; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister, Maxine (late Walter) Riemschneider. Visitation Friday, December 4, 2020, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004 (capacity limits, PPE requirements, and social distancing in effect). Interment will be private.
