Miriam A. Pysson

Miriam A. Pysson, 93, died at The Woodmark, her home on November 28, 2020. Miriam was born April 22, 1927 in Westpoint, Iowa to Frank and Clara Hesse. She attended several schools in Iowa and graduated from Bellevue High School. She then attended beauty school and became a licensed beautician. She married Albert B. Hancq on May 2, 1946. They lived in Rock Island, IL where they had 2 daughters. She worked for several years at the Rock Island Arsenal. In 1972, she married Omer Pysson in Coal Valley, IL. In 1973, they moved to Arizona and made their home in Mesa. After Omer passed away in 2002, she met Donald Deatherage and they became a couple. She loved to play cards, dance, bowl, and go to the casinos. She was a lot of fun, always the life of the party. She made many friends in both Mesa and Sun City. She was preceded in death by Albert Hancq, husband; Omer Pysson, husband; Don Deatherage, friend; brother Marvin Hesse and sister Bernice Gjere. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Diane Schmitz (Jeff) and Mrs. Karen Russell (Rich); 5 grandchildren, Zach Schmitz, Nick Schmitz, Ryan Russell, Carrie Rice, and Kristy Russell and 8 great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of life service will be held in the spring as soon as we can get family and friends together safely.
