Deacon Walter Rogers Pugh, Sr., 84, of 711 East Avenue, died November 30, at his residence. He was born in Vance County to William Henry Pugh and Annie Bell Champion Pugh.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, December 6, at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from noon to 4 pm, Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Reevern Allen Pugh; children: Jacqueline Pugh-Williams, Doris Pugh-Bullock, Barbara Pugh-Perry, Annette Pugh-Bullock, Walter Pugh, Jr. and Lakisha Pugh; his siblings: Martha Pugh, Mary Johnson, Florence Rodwell and Rev. John R. Pugh; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
