Melinda Jane Cooper
<p>Melinda Cooper, age 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22nd, 2020 after complications caused by cancer. She was born November 13th, 1952 in Plainfield, IN, to James Edgar Swinney Sr. and Fern Rose (Gottlob) Swinney. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. Melinda truly lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed simple pleasures. She was very creative and had a great love for her family. To her, family was not defined by blood, but by love. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, George Cooper Sr.; Sisters, Jessica Greene, June (Tom) Haverfield and Louise (Dan) Robinson; Children, Nick (Crystal) Warren and Wendy (Bryan) Christ; Bonus Children, George “Ed” (Mary Jane) Cooper Jr., Diane (Jim) Bailey and Adam “Zeke” (Paula) Cooper. Melinda was also blessed with 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, 2 of which we are expecting in December 2020 and May 2021. Melinda touched many many lives! She was “Mom” to many people, friend to everyone and loved whole heartedly.</p> <p>Melinda was preceded in death by her parents: James Edgar Swinney and Fern Rose Gottlob Swinney, Sisters Rita Faye Swinney, Betty Jean Swinney, Brother James Edgar Swinney Jr and Son Ronald F.
