On November 30th, Joyce Ann (Brannan) Bossinger took her last breath on Earth and her first breath in the presence of Jesus. She was born the first of six children on August 22, 1941 to the late Nelson J. & Ruth Ann (Yetter) Brannan. On July 29, 1962 she was married to the love of her life, the late Joseph D. Bossinger. Surviving are her daughters Kathryn (Jeff) and Cynthia (Scott) Pierce both of Lewistown. She was Nana to Alex Joseph & Benjamin Pierce and to Jeff’s children Ryan Limes & Bethany (Seth) Traxler. She was Aunt Joyce to four nieces & nine nephews. To Joe Thayer of Maryland & Jess Hamler of Carlisle she was a special Great Aunt Joyce. Her surviving siblings are; Patricia (Dallas) Moore, Irene (Nelson) Kratzer, George (Connie) Brannan & Judy (Mike) Richard all of Lewistown. She also survived by her sister in law Nancy (Bossinger) Watson. Her sister Linda Ruth Brannan proceeded her in death in July 2017. Joyce was last employed by Kish Travel as a travel agent. This was the perfect career for the woman who loved to travel. Her job took her to great destinations both near and far. During their travels she & Joe made many lifelong friends. Known to throw a party for no reason and the more people the better was her motto. Her talents were many. Cherry crumb pie and rice pudding were always being delivered to friends & neighbors alike. A memorial service in loving memory of Joyce will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday August 14, 2021 at Ellen Chapel Church, 11764 Ferguson Valley Road, Lewistown PA 17044 with Pastor Mark Hill to officiate. There will be a time of visitation held at the church from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. The family will provide all flowers.
