Joe Alan Holzworth Pasadena, Texas Obituary

Joe Alan Holzworth

Joe Alan (Bubba) Holzworth was born on October 1, 1956, in Pasadena, Texas to Joseph Henry and Mary Larimore Holzworth. He left his earthly home in Pasadena, Texas, on November 29, 2020. Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pam Holzworth; son and daughter-in-law Josh and Amanda Holzworth, son and daughter-in-law Andy and Tessa Holzworth, and daughter and son-in-law Jamie and Joey Powers; grandchildren, to whom he was Papa, Arianne and Joey, Trinity and Maddox, and Bentley and Beckham. And so many friends. He is predeceased by Ralph and Alice Larimore, Joseph and Mary Holzworth and John Holzworth. Joe was all about his family; his grandbabies. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and golfing. He enjoyed collecting and piddling, but mostly his family. He had a full life. He had retired from Phillips Petro Chem after 39 years of service, working in Equipment Reliability. As he said, he would “fix things”. During his time with Phillips Joe served the Shared Resources Credit Union as a board member for 31 years and as chairman for 21 years. Joe was a man of old fashioned principles in a world needing more of it. He lived his life as an example for everyone to see. He was the standard that we should all hope to obtain. He loved the Lord and understood his role as a faithful husband and devoted father. He was known among his friends to be a brother, someone they could count on. His grandchildren filled him with such joy. He loved being at every baseball game, cheer competition, football game or volley ball match. Joe never shied away from sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We rejoice in knowing that on Sunday afternoon he heard those words we all long to hear, “well done my good and faithful servant, welcome home.”
