<p>Catherine A. DuChane, 85, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Terre Haute Union Hospital.&nbsp; She was born June 3, 1935 in Terre Haute to William Edward Bridges and Bertha Lemmons Bridges.&nbsp; Catherine was a lifetime member of the Greenwood Baptist Church.&nbsp; She loved gospel music and would travel to concerts.&nbsp; She was an avid gardener and canner.&nbsp; Still today hundreds of canned vegetables await to feed her family.&nbsp; She also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.&nbsp; Catherine was a great baker.&nbsp; She made the best egg noodles around and was famous for her lemon meringue pie.&nbsp; Most of all she loved spending time with her beloved family.</p> <p>Catherine is survived by her son Robert J. DuChane, Jr. (Melissa), daughters Galinda DuChane, Terrie DuChane Altvater (Timothy), and Lisa DuChane Parnell (Douglas), grandchildren Robert J. DuChane III, Nicholas DuChane, Joannie Marie Basham, Lydia Townsend (Steven), Elizabeth Franklin (Janzen), Isaac Chesterfield, , Timothy Altvater, Jr., Andrew Altvater (Kristi), Jeremy Altvater, Shane Altvater (Courtney), Joshua Parnell (Jasmine), and Gabriel Parnell (Morgan), and fourteen great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 37 years, Robert Jack DuChane, Sr., son William Evert DuChane, II, brother Edward Bridges, sister Alice Collins-Palmer, sister-in-law Phyllis Bridges, and brothers-in-law Ronald Collins and Walt Palmer.</p> <p>Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.&nbsp; Services will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m.&nbsp; Pastor David Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.&nbsp; Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks are required and social distancing should be practiced.&nbsp; Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.</p>

Catherine A.
