Sarah Sally Dotson

Sarah Sally Scarberry Dotson age 91 of Grundy, Virginia formerly of Hurley, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home at Grundy, Virginia. Born February 11, 1929 at Pike County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Holly Scarberry and Grace Pruitt Scarberry. She was a retired nurse having worked at the old Grundy Hospital. She was a member of the Kelsa Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McClellan “Clell” Dotson; brothers, Hubert, Eugene, and Doug Scarberry; one granddaughter, Becky Mullins, and daughter-in-law, Laura Dotson. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Children Joyce Dotson and husband Bobby of Hurley, Virginia Betty Wells and husband Denton of Dalton, Georgia Gail Stiltner of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Rikki Estep and husband Hershel of Abingdon, Virginia Brian Dotson of Hurley, Virginia Grandchildren Tony Mullins, Christy Viers, Robin Dotson, Bobby Joe Dotson, Sherry Henderson, Dee Wells, Tammy Street, Marsha McCowan, Mitchell Stiltner, Derek Stiltner, Keela Goff, Shandra Schaefer, Joshua Heath Estep, Zachary Dotson, and Trevor Dotson 25 Great-Grandchildren 17 Great-Great-Grandchildren Sister Joan Adkins of Bluefield, Virginia Brothers Clifford Scarberry and wife Helen of Fenton, Michigan Lige Scarberry of Tazewell, Virginia There will be a private service Thursday, December 3, 2020, 2:00 P.M. for family only, at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel at Grundy, Virginia with Bill Neeley officiating. Entombment will follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Virginia. Serving as Pallbearers will be grandsons, friends, and sons-in-law.
