<p>Shirley A. Smith, 84, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at West View Healthy Living.</p> <p>Shirley was born November 19, 1936 in Huntington, WV to Jake and Anna {Cline} Ball.</p> <p>Shirley graduated Buffalo High School in 1956.</p> <p>She married Donald Vernon Smith on December 22, 1962. He passed away June 18, 2005.</p> <p>Shirley was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene. She belonged to the Red Hat Club and she volunteered at the Wooster Community Hospital between 1983 to 2012, logging more than 8000 hours. She enjoyed traveling, embroidery, bowling, and most of all spending time with her family. She was also a three-time breast cancer survivor.</p> <p>Shirley will be deeply missed by her sons Brian (Pam) Smith of Wooster and Lance (Ella) Smith of Morgantown, WV; two brothers and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.</p> <p>Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother.</p> <p>A private entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
