Joanne Lowell

Joanne Lowell, 90, of South Paris Maine, died November 30, 2020 at the Barron Center in Portland with her family by her side. Mrs. Lowell was born July 18, 1930 to Robert and Vivian Milton of Andover, ME. She moved to S. Paris at the age of 8 and graduated from South Paris High School in 1948. She married Robert Lowell August 8th of that year. Joanne joined her father in business and ultimately became President at the R.L. Milton Insurance Agency in Norway. She was a respected businesswoman in the area and received many awards. Mrs. Lowell was extremely active in her church and was a member of the Vestry at Christ Episcopal Church. Joanne was fond of knitting and liked to cross-stitch. She enjoyed intellectual challenges too like puzzles, crosswords and was an avid reader. She was predeceased by her husband Bob and her two brothers Robert and Fred. She is survived by her 3 children, Lisa Bujno of North Woodstock NH, Christopher Lowell of South Paris ME, and Elizabeth Benson of Augusta ME, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to so many and will be greatly missed. Joanne was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #72 for over 50 years.
